Surely not as demanding on the dev team as something like a new Konquest Mode or hugely complex adventure elements, Chess Mode shouldn't be an unrealistic hope for Mortal Kombat 10. Think of it as a custom-built variant of good old chess, but with traps, sorcery and violent deaths. I used to be pretty good at Chess but I always sucked at MK, so that minigame just fucked me over so bad. Like an ultra-violent Battle Chess on steroids, Chess Mode tested both your strategic strength as well as your beat-em-up abilities. Chess Kombat As ridiculous as it may sound on paper, Mortal Kombat: Deception's Chess Mode was a bloody brilliant idea.
